Support International Day of Play
3-6-2024
Thanks for supporting Playright’s initiative for the global action of celebrating the first “International Day of Play” on 11 June 2024, which has been adopted by the United Nations General Assembly.
Play* is a fundamental right as stated in the Article 31 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Play builds resilience, instils confidence and helps children develop. We believe every child can reach their full potential, with the time, space and access to play.
But children need time to play. That’s where we need policies, training and funding to get play integrated into children’s daily lives.
So let’s build the awareness of Play on the International Day of Play!
How about making Play more visible on the International Day of Play!

* What is Children’s Play?
- Any behaviour or process initiated, controlled and structured by children themselves.
- Play is driven by intrinsic motivations and undertaken for its own sake, rather than as a means to an end.
- Play may take infinite forms, but the key characteristics of play are fun, uncertainty, challenge, and flexibility.
